Lucas DeGuilio

Lucas holds dearly the belief that imagination is the source of healing and growth and that our work as educators is to appreciate the poetry that happens when we learn together.

Lucas holds dearly the belief that imagination is the source of healing and growth and that our work as educators is to appreciate the poetry that happens when we learn together. He has been working in Waldorf education for 10 years. Lucas began teaching at the City of Lakes Waldorf School in Minneapolis and then moved to the Bay Area where he taught at a Waldorf inspired school in Mill Valley for 5 years.

Lucas joined the New Village School in 2010 as the Kindergarten teacher. He now leads the Classroom Without Walls program. He also works with the older students teaching art and movement.

As a Gemini, his favorite self is invested in the fine arts. He graduated from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and has exhibited work in New York, San Francisco and beyond.

Lucas currently lives in San Francisco with his family and enjoys night running on Ocean Beach.
