Supporting Escuela Aguaribay: A Special Partnership in Mendoza, Argentina
Nov 19, 2025 | by Claudio Salusso & Paulina Sarno-Nassar
Dear Parents and Alumni,
At our last Parent Evening, I shared an update about the fundraising efforts for the Tomato Sauce Factory at Escuela Aguaribay — a small Waldorf school in Mendoza, Argentina, where our 8th graders have immersed themselves during each of the past three trips. This school has become an important part of our students’ experience and a meaningful extension of our curriculum.
Thanks to the wonderful work of Paulina, Pru and Augie’s mother, we now have a new webpage dedicated to this partnership. It includes the story of Escuela Aguaribay, the projects our students have supported over the last three years, photos from their visits, and a link to make a donation.
Visit the page: https://www.mendozacanning.org/
Any amount will make a difference. Our goal is to raise $5,000. With these funds, the school will be able to begin building the foundation for their new tomato sauce factory and route gas, water, and electricity.

A Word from Paulina
This school means so much to Señor, our students, and our community. It’s not just a place our students visit — it’s a place where they form real connections. My son Augie went last year and came home overflowing with stories. It was one of the most meaningful parts of his time in Argentina and deeply shaped his experience. These journeys are truly the backbone of the NVS curriculum, and supporting Escuela Aguaribay helps ensure that these transformative opportunities continue for future classes.
Every dollar donated goes directly toward creating the foundation for the tomato sauce factory — a project that will provide long-term sustainability for the school and its programs.
If you haven’t had a chance yet, please take a moment to explore the new site and read more about the initiative. And if you don’t have time to browse the (very cute!) webpage, you are welcome to donate directly to my Venmo account as well. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a meaningful impact.
Thank you so much for your support and for helping us strengthen this beautiful partnership.
—Paulina Sarno-Nassar (NVS Parent)
